Biscuits

2 cups self-rising flour

¼ cup cold shortening

¾ cup buttermilk

Place 2 cups self-rising flour in a bowl and cut in ¼ cup cold shortening.  Next add ¾ cup buttermilk.  Stir and form into a ball.  Have the dough as moist as possible and still manageable.   Roll dough to about ½ “thick and cut with biscuit cutter.  Now, place the amount of biscuits to be eaten on a tray and into a hot oven (475F).  Place the other biscuits on another tray and into the freezer.  When frozen, place in a plastic bag and into the freezer.  Use as needed up to a week.
