Quick Parker House Rolls

2 Packages yeast

1 1/2 cup milk

3/4 teaspoon salt

4 1/4 to 5 cups sifted flour

1/4 cup warm water

3 tablespoon sugar

1/4 cup butter

                 Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.  Put milk, sugar, salt, and 1/2 butter into saucepan and heat until lukewarm.  Add yeast and flour, cover and put in warm place for 15 minutes.  Turn onto floured board and pat to 1/2 inch-thickness.  Cut with 2” biscuit cutter; brush with remaining butter, melted, and fold dough over.  Let rise on greased baking sheet in warm place 15 minutes, then bake at (450°F) for 10 minutes, Makes 2 dozen rolls.
