Shrimp Gumbo

1 pound raw, peeled shrimp (chopped)

2/3 cup green onions (chopped)

1 1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cup hot water

2 whole bay leaves

2 cup sliced okra or frozen

3 cloves garlic, finely chopped

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1 cup canned tomatoes, chopped

6 drops tobasco sauce

                 Thaw shrimp if frozen.  Sauté okra in oil, stir constantly.  Add onions, garlic, salt and pepper.  Cook five minutes.  Add water, tomatoes, and bay leaves, cover and simmer 20 minutes.  (Add shrimp last 5 minutes)  Remove bay leaves and add tobasco sauce.  Place 1/4 cup cooked rice in each bowl.  Divided Gumbo, serves 6.
